Brainstorming
Nowadays, whenever creating new idea or gather
information from member, they offen refer to “Brainstorming” technique. So,
We can understand that
brainstorming is a group
problem-solving technique that involves the spontaneous contribution of ideas
from all members of the group; the mulling over of ideas by one or more
individuals in an attempt to devise or find a solution to a problem.
Maybe everyone knows to do it. But, let’s see how “Leadership Program
Challenge” course of KNOWMADS works .When I learn about this brainstorming’s
of MrGuus, program manager of KNOWMADS , I really feel comfortable and relax
with all of my member in my group. So, how we do this? Firstly, we have a golden question and explain
about situation and give more detail to clear this topic. Secondly, we create
ideas, opinions by writing everything in sticker note about this topic together.
During gather ideas time, we don’t have permission to comment or analyze about
other’s ideas. We have just open our mind, create something news together and
say out loud our ideas. After that, “Cluster” is next step. We organize every
ideas and categorize each note to their subject. Finally, we choose good ideas can resolve problem.
Animals
In this blog, I want to talk about
animal icon of a team, how to use this tool when working in a group and how effective it is.
There are 6 animals represents 6 kind of people in a
group.
They
are:

Lion (powerful, strong, leader, teamwork, know others skill)
·
Giraffe (overview, coordinates the group),
·
Parrot (talkative, get idea from the parrots talking,
copies people, communicate),
·
Monkey (smart, active, funny, can be disturbing),
·
Rabbit (shy, weak, ask for opinion, scared),
·
Snake (clever, has experience, can make good plan).
How to
use:
·
Each member pick their own animal
·
The team need to prepare a performance, members try to show
the characteristics of their animals in that performance
By
using this tool, you can understand the weakness and the strength of different
characteristics. The team will find solutions to develop the strengths and fix
the weakness. In addition, understanding the personality of others, you can
give the suitable task to people.
For
example, about the Rabbit members, you need to motivate them to talk out what
they are thinking, help them connect with other members in group. For Snakes, they
usually have some good ideas so you should listen to them carefully.
In the
reality, the roles can change actively during the time of the discussion.
Finally,
in my opinion, this tool very easy to use and very effective in teamwork.
PERFECT TRIANGLE GAME
TRIANGLE GAME
Story:
It comes from the game called Sun, Moon
and Earth, with its orbit affecting each other. The movement is harmony, if
they have their own orbit.

How to play:
Time: 30 minutes
Number of people: more
than 10 ppl
How to play: In silent, think of two other members in class you want to follow. Always keep distance to the 2 other members, create a balanced triangle.
If you don't create change, change will create you

Everything
can change but however, we can find the balance if we trust and keep finding
it.

What we feel:
- 1st: Unknown: At the first
time, the feeling of unknown appeared. People kept moving and it looked like a
Chaos
- 2nd: Try
to figure the meaning by answering the question in mind: focus on the target,
almost forget everything around, someone who watching me. Keep
observing, figure out who keep watching me, at the same time see what happen to the 2 targets.

During the 4 days of the program. I have
learned a lot of things and also did plenty of activities. But the activity
which impressed me most is the CHECK IN and CHECK OUT.
The first day of the program was my first time
to do it and I really surprise. When everyone is on the circle, they have the
right to raise their voice and say whatever they want. They can also express
their thought in the way they feel comfortable. But to be honest, sometimes I
don’t really like some member’s part because they were not serious. How can
they say that they are very tired and sleepy in morning?? They supposed to have
full of energy to change the whole world. And sometimes they just say nonsense
thing. But normally, everyone enjoy it and really to learn new things.
Another cool part is CHECK OUT. This is the
last activity at the end of the day. Sometimes people feel tired because of a very hardworking day. But during
the check out process, they said they would walk away with lots of fun and new
lessons!

I = Intention, DO = Desired Outcome, A =
Agenda, R = Rules, R = Roles, T = Time.
For me, this is the most powerful tool while working in group. This
helps group has a common way, a common reasonable decision between many
chooses. So that it can bring us to the successful whenever that group work on
any project. Why does this work effective?
The secret is hidden in every character. At first, how do you go to a
splendid castle? While you don’t know where it is and how does it look like?
Use this tool! You must know where you are, where you want to go to, what do
you want to see when you are there. This tool’ll help you.
But if this beautiful castle seem to far and hard to reach? Don’t worry!
Use this tool! What you need is the letter A, an Agenda will help you. You
can’t go there in a day, but every day you go help the distant shorter. And
someday, the Distant is equal to 0. Now you are in the castle, on the glossiest
floor, under the brightest light ^^ …
That what your mind sees when you are here ^^ you can go a day, you can
go 2 days, you can go 3 days, but on the the way to the brightest castle, there
are many thing attract you, a group of men invites you to join in and go to the
beach for the summer vacation, or a theft steal your luggare… Do you want to go
to the beach? or give up because of lacking food, money… It’s time to use this
tool! A great companion will encourage you and raise up your mind, whenever you
have a disappoinment like this :) Yes, everyone have their own responsibility,
this companion remind you about the time, another reminds you about your spirit
:) Devide the role, and everyone should work good on their own role :)
